Soloviev Alexander K. (18 (30) .08.1846 – 28.05 (09.06) .1879), Russian revolutionary populist. In 1865 – 1866 he studied at St. Petersburg University. Since 1876 belonged to society "Land and Freedom", was part of a group of "separatists" (H. Yu Bogdanovich, and others). In 1877 – 1878 led revolutionary propaganda among the peasants of the Volga. On his own initiative, April 2, 1879 in St. Petersburg made an unsuccessful attempt on Tsar Alexander II. He was arrested, tried and hanged.
