Biography Rajewski Vladimir Fedoseevich

Rajewski Vladimir Fedoseevich (28.03 (08.04) .1795 – 08 (20) .07.1872), Russian poet, essayist, Decembrist. Born into a noble family. He studied at the Moscow university hostel and in the 2 nd Cadet Corps in St. Petersburg, where he befriended future Decembrist GS Batenkov. Member of the Patriotic War of 1812. Member of the Union of Welfare and the Southern Society of Decembrists, one of the founders of the Chisinau council Decembrists. In 1822 he was arrested in Chisinau on a charge of revolutionary propaganda among the soldiers and cadets. Before his arrest written journalistic works on slavery of peasants and the need for early changes in Russia and on a Soldier ", where Rajewski more strongly than other Decembrists, condemned serfdom. After a stay in a fortress in 1827 was sent to exile in Siberia, where he stayed until the end of life. The most significant works of art Rajewski written before his arrest and in 1822 in Tiraspol fortress: "Message from GS Batenkov" satire "I laugh and cry," a satire of manners, "" Songs in the dungeon, "" to friends in Chisinau and etc.; protest against tyranny and violence combined them with a call to struggle and heroism. In their letter to Alexander Pushkin, whom he befriended in Chisinau, expressed aesthetic credo Rajewski: "Leave the other singers love. Love it sing, where blood spurts …". By Rajewski addressed Pushkin's poetry: "Not so proud of me, my singer …"," You're right, my friend … " (Both – 1822) and verse sketch "Not for nothing are you called out to me from the depths of deaf prison …".
