Leo Ivan Ivanovich (04 (15) .05.1798 – 03 (15) .04.1859), Decembrist. The son of a senator. He studied at the Lyceum Tsarskoselsky with Pushkin, who called his first Puschina and invaluable friend. At the end of the Lyceum (1817) – Officer Guards Horse Artillery. In 1823 he resigned from in December 1823 aulic judge of the court. In 1816-17 served in the political circle "Sacred gang. In 1823 he organized the St. Petersburg city council, and in 1825 (with EP Obolensky) – Moscow city council of Northern society. Participated in the preparation of the uprising at Senate Square on December 14, arrested on December 16. He was sentenced to death, later commuted to 20 years hard labor in Turinsk and Yalutorovsk. From 1839 to the settlement. After the amnesty in 1856 due to illness, was allowed to return to St. Petersburg. Died in with. Marino Bronnitskii former county, was buried in Bronnitsy.
