Biography of the Valkyries

Valkyrie (Walkyrjur, Anglo-Saxon Volcyrigean) – the immortal maid wonderful beauty, which are worn in the golden arms in the air, giving orders by order of Odin, battles and distributing victory or death among the soldiers. With manes of their horses (clouds) drip fertilizing dew, and on their swords shining light. They picked up the fallen heroes, assign them to Valhalla and there they treat honey. Like the Norns, they are partly descended from elves and other creatures of superhuman, but this is partly the prince's daughter, falling in the Valkyries in their lifetimes. They go for three or three times and four times three at once and have the gift of becoming a swan. Part B. They choose their beloved in the noble heroes so Brunnhilde, in the song of the Nibelungs, a Valkyrie. But from his marriage to the death, they lose their immortality and superhuman strength. Often confused with V. Norns, spinning the thread of life at the well, it probably comes from the fact that his influence to win VA also in some way hold in their hands the destiny of people.
