Biography of Abel

Abel (from Heb. Hevelius, ie vanity) – 2 nd son of Adam, Cain killed his brother out of envy for the fact that the victim was adopted by A. God more favorably (Genesis, IV). In the New Testament is called righteous and Alexander is considered the first martyr.
