Krishna, more Krshna – deity of the ancient Indian religions, 8 th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. AK is not known in the Vedic period and receives a value only later, when the cult of Vishnu attains its highest development. There is reason to think that Karl was the first local folk deities.

Interest in the Indian legends of Krishna was filed in European science similarity of some of them with the testimony of the gospel about the childhood of Jesus Christ. The famous Sanskrit Weber tried to explain this similarity influence of Christian teaching on the doctrine of Karl (see his study "Ueber die Krishnajanmashtami – Krishna's Geburts-Fest", Berlin 1867), and borrowing from the Indians, he elevates to the days of ancient Christianity (St. Thomas ) in India.
