Isidore – Metropolitan of Novgorod and the whole of Pomerania, before Superior Solovetsky monastery, a prominent figure in the Time of Troubles (see).

Helped to Tsar Vasily Shumsky sign lucrative contract with a Swedish commander Delagardie, when the latter approached Novgorod, I. guided city protection and finally, I. sought Novgorod Mikhail Fedorovich forgiveness for forced Delagardie oath elected to the Russian throne one of the Swedish king's son. Died in 1619
