Ganymede (Ganymedes, mneol.) – Son of the king of Troy, because of the extraordinary beauty of its kidnapped by the gods to heaven, where became a favorite and cupbearer of Zeus. In another legend, the Zeus himself through his eagle stole G. Since G, as an attribute, is in possession of the vessel, it identified with the god of the Nile, ancient astronomers placed him in the constellation Aquarius.
