Limmer, Karl August (1767 – 09/04/1853) – Pastor, born in 1767 in the German city Plauene (Voigtland), where his father was a doctor, contrary to the wishes of parents who had prepared his son for a medical career, he devoted himself to studying theology at the University of Leipzig (1783 – 1786) and, returning to the Plough, successfully performed here as a preacher.
Two years later, however, in 1788, Limmer again went to Leipzig, where local archives, on behalf of the Superintendent of Gandhi, was collecting material for the history of their country, but soon quarreled with Gandhi, and deprived of support due to the death of his parents, he is forced to had to leave had been started and moved to Kurland. In 1822 he settled in Gera, where he died on Sept. 4, 1853 Limmer left behind a number of published works on history, theology, philosophy, philology, and even mathematics.
